Americas Gold and Silver Reports High-Grade Vein Discoveries at Galena Complex

The company identified new silver-rich veins at the Galena and Crescent mines, with assays showing grades up to 1,891 g/t Ag, while extending existing mineral systems.
Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (TSX: USA; NYSE American: USAS) has reported high-grade silver and copper drill results from its Galena Complex in Idaho. The latest assays, released on September 18, 2026, confirm new vein discoveries at the operating Galena Mine and the neighboring Crescent Mine. These findings emerge from the company’s largest-ever exploration and mineral resource conversion program, which aims to upgrade the existing mineral base and feed future production levels.
The reported intercepts were not included in the company’s 2025 Mineral Resource and Reserve statement, representing direct upside to the current mine plan. Assays from the 49 level at Galena intersected 1.2 meters of material grading 1,061 g/t Ag, 0.7% Cu, and 0.6% Sb. At Crescent, drilling identified new high-grade shoots near the Alhambra and South Veins, supporting the company’s target of initiating mining operations at this site in 2027.
New Veins Extend Galena Operations
Exploration at the Galena Mine has focused on in-mine drilling above the 6,000-foot level, targeting areas with significant historical mining activity. The discovery on the 49 level is strategically positioned near the minimum mining width required for the company’s transition to long-hole stoping, a method that improves operational efficiency and safety. This specific intercept, designated 49-817, confirms the presence of high-grade silver-copper-antimony material in a zone previously under-explored.
Further drilling at Galena uncovered the 9 Vein, which returned 0.4 meters of 7,123 g/t Ag, 3.24% Cu, and 1.81% Sb in hole 24-407. This discovery occurred in an area without prior vein projections, indicating that the deposit remains open for further expansion even at higher elevations. The company noted that neighboring mines along the strike extend deeper than 10,000 feet, suggesting potential for additional mineralization below the current operational depth.
Crescent Drilling Supports 2027 Start
At the Crescent Mine, the company is conducting infill drilling to define the Alhambra and South Veins for detailed mine planning ahead of the 2027 start date. Assays from the first 12 of 45 holes drilled to date revealed two new veins in the vicinity of Alhambra. Drillhole SF-002 intersected 1.1 meters of 1,109.5 g/t Ag, 0.3% Cu, and 0.8 meters of 939.3 g/t Ag, 0.1% Cu in hole SF-003. These results validate the presence of high-grade shoots that will contribute to the initial mine plan.
Coeur System Shows Vertical Growth
Drilling at the Coeur Mine, which is in the restart stage, has expanded the 520 Vein system significantly. Recent work has extended the vein by 200 meters along strike and 200 meters vertically, building on the 2025 discovery. All directions remain open for further expansion, indicating that the mineral system is not yet fully defined. This growth at Coeur complements the new discoveries at Galena and Crescent, reinforcing the scale of the overall Galena Complex.
Americas Gold and Silver stated that these results, combined with recent findings at its Cosalá operations in Mexico, demonstrate the value of systematic exploration across its portfolio. The company continues to focus on converting these resources into reserves, with the goal of supporting long-term production and shareholder value through the development of high-grade silver and critical minerals.
