Eastport Reports Initial Semarule Rare Earth Assay Results

Eastport Critical Metals disclosed assay data for drill hole SEM005 at its Semarule project, indicating a 47.5-metre interval with 0.64% total rare earth oxides.
Eastport Critical Metals Corp. has released the first assay results from its Semarule rare earth project in south-central Botswana. The company reported that drill hole SEM005 intersected a 47.5-metre interval containing 0.64% total rare earth oxides (TREO) starting at 20.0 metres. This interval includes a higher-grade 7.5-metre section with 2.52% TREO and a 2.5-metre zone at 5.95% TREO. The broader intersection extended to 330 metres with an average grade of 0.21% TREO.
The Semarule project is situated approximately 40 kilometres northwest of Gaborone. CEO Daniel Major stated that the results indicate strong grade continuity and potential for material scale across a target area of roughly 15 square kilometres. The company noted that the 48-metre interval comprises 28% medium rare earth oxides. Major added that the drill hole likely cut through the edge of a gravity feature to test structural elements.
Drilling program targets syenite geology
The eight-hole diamond drilling campaign was designed to test both the syenite geology and gravity anomaly cross-sections. Hole SEM005 was drilled at a -50 degree dip to a downhole depth of 349.9 metres at the western extent of the target. The project hosts several mineralised syenite intrusions, including the Semarule Syenite Hill, which is exposed over a 5 by 3 kilometre area. These intrusions consist of syenite with carbonatite dykes underlain by Archaean Gaborone granite.
Geological interpretation suggests the syenite resulted from in-situ metasomatism of the host granite followed by further intrusions. The company indicated that the more mafic syenite intrusions report elevated rare earth concentrations. Results from the remaining seven holes are pending, targeting various aspects of the identified gravity anomalies to further define the structure and mineralisation extent.
Corporate updates and portfolio context
Eastport also announced that Herrick Lau resigned as a director effective September 9, 2026. The company is advancing five projects in Botswana with cumulative expenditures approaching CAD$20 million. Its most advanced asset remains the Matsitama Copper Project. Other holdings include the Selebi East nickel-copper-cobalt project, the Foley Uranium Project, and the Keng Project targeting nickel, copper, and PGEs.
Source attribution for rare earths data
The reported assay figures and project details were provided by Eastport Critical Metals. The information was sourced from materials associated with GN auto stocks and rare earths reporting. The company continues its Phase 1 drill campaign to expand the resource definition at Semarule.
