Research firm SemiAnalysis projects that NVIDIA will accumulate approximately $1.4 trillion in cash and investments by the end of fiscal 2031. This analyst estimate, detailed in a September 2026 note, is not a current balance-sheet figure but a forward-looking extrapolation based on consensus EBITDA estimates of $441 billion for fiscal 2028. The projection positions the chipmaker to hold a liquid asset base that would dwarf the cash reserves of its hyperscale customers, semiconductor rivals, and major financial institutions.
The foundation for this accumulation is NVIDIA’s accelerating cash generation. Operating cash flow has nearly tripled in three years, rising from $28.09 billion in fiscal 2024 to $102.72 billion in fiscal 2026. In the most recent quarter, the company reported revenue of $96.22 billion, a 105.8% year-over-year increase, alongside net income of $59.69 billion and a non-GAAP gross margin of 75.0%. This operational performance supports the thesis that NVIDIA can compound its capital reserves significantly over the next five years.
Guidance Points to Continued Revenue Growth

As of July 31, 2026, total assets stood at $320.27 billion, including $76.93 billion in short-term investments and $51.16 billion in long-term investments. Total debt is limited to $38.86 billion against shareholder equity of $228.98 billion. This low leverage allows NVIDIA to retain earnings as cash rather than servicing debt, further supporting the accumulation of a massive financial war chest.
NVIDIA Mobilizes Third-Party Capital for Infrastructure
