Sectra AB reported a 61% surge in operating profit and crossed the SEK1 billion cloud revenue threshold in Q1 2027, though the results were tempered by a sharp 47% drop in new orders and margin headwinds from production issues and rising costs.
Per GN markets/earnings (en-US), Sectra’s earnings call revealed that order intake plunged 47% to SEK699 million due to a lack of large deals, while Secure Communications sales slipped 4% following a resolved factory halt. The company also noted that gross margins faced pressure from higher cloud costs and a larger share of hardware sales, despite the strong profit headline.
