The company is also advancing linear pluggable optics to reduce interconnect power usage compared to traditional modules.
The firm helped launch the XPO liquid-cooled optics module, which delivers 12.8 terabits of bandwidth in a single rack unit. This technology aims to maximize the utility of every switch port and cable, preventing network bottlenecks during large-scale AI jobs. Vertiv Expands Cooling and Power Capacity

At its Tognana campus in Italy, the company is expanding production to double chiller output by the end of 2026. Additionally, Vertiv is opening a large laboratory in 2027 where customers can stress-test cooling systems under real-world AI loads.
The company is launching modular liquid-cooling pods and AI-focused cooling products to address denser data center requirements. Vertiv has also partnered with Generate Capital to bundle power, cooling, and financing for operators in markets with tight grid capacity.
