Kia has begun selling the 2027 EV3 compact electric SUV in the United States, setting a starting price of US$29,890. This entry-level cost makes it one of the most affordable options in Kia’s electric lineup, though buyers must add US$1,495 for shipping.
The vehicle targets budget-conscious drivers seeking a practical electric crossover. It offers two battery sizes and five trim levels, ranging from the basic Light model to the high-performance GT variant, with prices reaching up to US$45,890.
Battery choices define range
The EV3 Light comes with a 58.3 kWh battery, delivering an estimated 356 kilometers of range. Higher trims use a larger 81.4 kWh pack, extending the maximum range to 517 kilometers according to EPA estimates.
Charging speed is consistent across both battery options. The smaller pack takes about 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, while the larger one requires roughly 31 minutes for the same interval.
Standard Tesla charging access
All variants include NACS ports as standard equipment. This allows owners to use the Tesla Supercharger network directly without needing an adapter, a significant convenience for long-distance travel.
Powertrain options include front-wheel drive with 201 horsepower or all-wheel drive with up to 261 horsepower. The GT model boosts output to 288 horsepower for sportier performance.
Incentives and lease offers
Kia is offering a US$1,500 customer discount and financing at 0.90 percent interest for up to 48 months. Lease deals start at US$349 per month for the Wind FWD model over 24 months, with a US$3,999 payment due at signing.
The base Light model does not have a dedicated lease program, but estimated payments are around US$352 per month for a 24-month contract. These offers are reported by VOI.ID and apply to the 2027 model year.
