SIDIZ has unveiled the GC PRO Renewal, the official seating for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games esports team, featuring enhanced cooling and precise armrest adjustments designed for professional competition.

SIDIZ has introduced the GC PRO Renewal, the official gaming chair designated for the South Korean esports national team at the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games. This update follows the original GC PRO model, which served athletes during the 2022 Hangzhou Games, and aims to address specific ergonomic needs identified by professional players over the past three years.

The new model focuses on two primary areas: thermal management and posture precision. By integrating automotive-inspired cooling technology and more granular armrest controls, the chair is designed to reduce physical fatigue during long competitive matches. As reported by GN technics/gaming, these changes are intended to provide a tangible advantage in performance consistency for athletes.

Cooling Technology Reduces Heat Buildup

One of the most common complaints among gamers is heat accumulation in the lower body during extended sessions. Traditional leather or PU-coated chairs often trap this heat, leading to discomfort. The GC PRO Renewal addresses this with a three-step adjustable seat cooling system that uses internal fans to circulate air across the contact area. This mechanism is designed to dissipate warmth from the hips and thighs more effectively than the subtle airflow of the previous generation.

Noise levels are a common trade-off with active cooling fans, but SIDIZ specifies that the maximum volume is approximately 50 decibels at the headrest level. This is comparable to the ambient noise of a quiet home environment. In practical testing, users often perceive the sound as even quieter than the specifications suggest, making it suitable for environments where audio clarity is essential, such as competitive LAN events.

Precise Armrest Adjustments Support Varied Postures

Professional players adopt different seating habits depending on their hardware, whether using a keyboard and mouse, a gamepad, or a handheld device. The new chair offers integrated nine-step height adjustment, seven-step angle and rotation controls, and front-to-back depth adjustments. This level of granularity allows users to align their elbows and wrists precisely, reducing strain on shoulders and arms regardless of the gaming platform being used.

The armrest material has also been updated to offer a non-slip surface that is cushioned yet resilient. This combination aims to provide stable support without the friction that can occur with standard foam pads, ensuring that the armrests remain comfortable even during intense, high-movement gameplay sessions.

Power Connectivity Improves Portability

A significant hardware change involves the power delivery method. While the previous model relied on power banks, the GC PRO Renewal introduces a magnetic cable system that supports 24-hour continuous power delivery. This magnetic connection allows for easy attachment and detachment, reducing wear on the port and simplifying setup for players who frequently move their chairs between different locations.

The system also retains the option to connect via a power bank for greater portability. By utilizing USB Type-C ports, the chair ensures faster and more convenient power transfer. The removal of the previous cool-down mode allows for uninterrupted use, meaning the cooling system can remain active throughout an entire tournament day without requiring forced pauses for mechanical resets.
