The travel planning app Tripsy has rolled out version 3.10, bringing AI-powered document analysis and a new smart import feature to iOS users.

Tripsy, an independent travel planning app, has released a significant update that integrates deeply with the latest iOS version. The new version 3.10 introduces artificial intelligence features designed to streamline trip preparation by automatically extracting details from various digital sources.

According to reports from 9to5Mac, this update also adds support for the operating system’s newest widget sizes and enhances how users manage their itineraries. The app aims to reduce the manual effort required to organize reservations and logistics by turning scattered digital information into structured travel plans.

Smart import automates itinerary creation

The update centers on a feature called Smart Import, which processes links, PDFs, emails, and social media posts to identify locations and reservations. Users can also import lists from mapping services, allowing the app to suggest which items should be added to a trip.

This functionality eliminates the need to manually type in hotel names or restaurant details. However, the system requires users to review and confirm the suggested items, ensuring that irrelevant data is not automatically included in the final itinerary.

On-device analysis extracts key details

Tripsy also introduces Smart Insights, which uses Apple’s on-device machine learning models to analyze attached documents and emails. The tool surfaces specific trip details such as baggage allowances, breakfast times, parking information, and cancellation policies.

Because this processing happens locally on the phone, the data does not need to be sent to external servers for analysis. This approach prioritizes user privacy while providing quick access to critical logistical information that is often buried in long confirmation emails.

Premium features require subscription access

While the app supports iOS 27’s extra-large widgets for a more complete itinerary view, the new AI tools are restricted to paid users. Tripsy offers a Pro subscription for these features, priced at fifty-nine dollars per year.

A lifetime access option is also available at a higher cost. The catch for free users is that they must continue managing their travel documents manually, as the automated import and insight features are locked behind the paywall.
