Xiaomi has launched the recruitment process for beta testers of its upcoming HyperOS 4 operating system, specifically targeting users in the Global and European Economic Area markets. While this offers early access to new features, it comes with the standard caveat for pre-release software: the build is likely to contain bugs and is not suitable for daily use.

While installing the HyperOS 4 beta is a standard over-the-air update, going back to HyperOS 3 is not. Xiaomi explicitly states that users cannot simply roll back to the stable version through standard system settings.
