The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on September 15 that Russian military losses have reached approximately 1,510,000 personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022. This latest count includes an estimated 1,400 casualties incurred by Russian forces during the preceding 24 hours, reflecting the continued intensity of ground operations along the front lines.
According to the Kyiv Independent, the assessment also details substantial material losses, including over 12,000 tanks, 25,000 armored vehicles, and nearly 500,000 aerial drones. While Ukrainian officials have not disclosed their own casualty figures, citing operational security, the reported Russian losses underscore the scale of the attrition war that has defined the conflict in recent years.
