Revolut has launched EURR, a euro stablecoin issued by Bridge, a Stripe-owned entity. The token is initially available in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, marking a shift in how the firm handles digital asset issuance.

Revolut has launched EURR, its first euro-denominated stablecoin. The token is issued by Bridge, a company owned by Stripe. This structure separates the issuance role from the distribution channel.

The rollout begins in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. Users can transfer value between fiat currency, crypto, and external wallets. The token operates on the Ethereum network.

Stripe Infrastructure Powers New Token

Bridge Building fulfills the issuer function for EURR. Revolut retains control over user experience and product access. This model relies on specialized external infrastructure for token creation.

Maxim Krasnov of Construct.tech notes this creates a gateway to on-chain markets. The strategy combines massive distribution with banking services. It positions the app as a bridge to blockchain assets.

Sterling Stablecoin Under Regulatory Review

Revolut is testing a sterling stablecoin in the UK. The Financial Conduct Authority selected the firm for its regulatory sandbox. The project aims for a one-to-one value peg with the pound.

Reserves for this asset must be denominated in GBP. The sandbox allows testing in a controlled environment. Revolut is one of four firms in the stablecoin cohort.

Expanded Trading Platform Features

Revolut X offers advanced trading tools to users. The platform supports market and limit orders. It provides access to over 300 tokens.

API access allows for automated trading strategies. This expansion strengthens the investment offering. The company continues to grow its regulatory footprint in Europe and the US.
