Monmouth University women's golf finished 11th at the Red Bandanna Invitational. The team played at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass., on Monday and Tuesday.
This was their sixth appearance at this tournament. The Hawks recorded 12 birdies over the 54-hole event. Their total score was 975, placing them 11th among 15 teams.
Engart Leads Individual Performance
Alli Engart tied for 42nd individually. She closed the tournament with a 74, two strokes over par. Her final round moved her up 14 spots on the leaderboard.
Engart shot an even-par 36 on the front nine in the final round. This was one of the best nine-hole stretches for the team. She continues her strong play from her first year.
Butler Matches Front Nine Mark
Addison Butler also shot an even 36 on the front nine. She did this during the second round. Butler recorded three birdies during the tournament.
She now has 11 career birdies at Blue Hill Country Club. Dannah Smith, Delaney Nadeau, and Hallie Brown also competed. Monmouth University Athletics highlighted their season opener results.
Next Stop Is Kansas
The team returns to action on Sept. 28-29. They will play at the Powercat Invitational. The event is hosted by Kansas State at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas.
