The lead was established on Saturday with a 319 (+27) and held fast through Sunday’s 322 (+30). By the final hole, the gap between first and second place had widened to nearly forty strokes. Union followed in second with 679 (+95), while Cortland and Vassar rounded out the top four, trailing by even larger margins. It was a performance of controlled precision, not frantic recovery.
Winterberg Takes Top Medalist Honors
Helena Winterberg anchored the team’s success, tying for the top individual spot with a 157 (+11). Her Saturday card of 79 set the tone, but Sunday’s 78 cemented her status. She found the greens with intent, carding three birdies across the two days. Two of those strikes landed in the opening stretch of Sunday, a burst of power that signaled early dominance.
Morrison and Stencel Chase Close Behind
Brianna Morrison and Annelise Stencel tied for fourth place with 161 (+15), each finding their own rhythm. Morrison, who shot 83 and 78, kept her birdies for the final day, finishing one-under on the back nine. Stencel, conversely, burned bright on Saturday with a 74, firing four birdies on the back nine before a 87 on Sunday. Abby Bladen tied for sixth with 162 (+16), adding two more birdies to the team’s tally, while Hayden Homann finished 17th with 182 (+36).
