Wisconsin is deploying 42 new fast-charging stations at local businesses with $25 million in federal backing, adding at least 168 high-speed ports. This move extends the state's charging network beyond interstates to include secondary routes and everyday destinations like grocery stores and hotels.
According to GN auto tech/ev, the $25 million federal award ensures a minimum of 168 new 150kW CCS ports will be installed across the 42 sites, with equipment provided by Tesla, Autel, and Gilbarco. The expansion also confirms that Wisconsin has met its initial spacing benchmarks, allowing the state to direct future funding toward secondary highways rather than just interstate corridors.
