The deadliest incident occurred at the Interpipe industrial facility in Dnipro, where a ballistic missile impact killed four employees and forced the company to halt all production.
The attacks targeted 22 locations, with Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava oblasts suffering the heaviest casualties. Ukrainian air defense forces reported intercepting the majority of the incoming projectiles, including 177 drones and several ballistic missiles, though significant damage remained at civilian and industrial sites.
Industrial halt in Dnipro
The Interpipe plant, a major manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products, reported critical damage to its production equipment and infrastructure following the overnight strike. According to the company, the facility employs approximately 9,500 people and exports to over 50 countries. Rescuers recovered the four victims from the rubble, marking a significant disruption to Ukraine's heavy industrial output.
Broad regional impact
Casualties extended beyond Dnipro, with five killed and seven wounded in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast alone. In Kharkiv Oblast, a 45-year-old woman was killed and a 13-year-old boy injured in Katerynivka. Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts also reported fatalities, while Kherson and Kyiv recorded multiple injuries and extensive damage to residential and commercial properties.
Kyiv Independent notes that the strikes coincided with a renewed focus on Ukraine's railway sector. Russian forces have intensified attacks on rail infrastructure, particularly near western borders with Poland and Moldova. Additionally, a Naftogaz facility in Poltava Oblast sustained critical damage from at least five ballistic missiles, rendering it inoperable.

The combination of missile strikes and severe weather left parts of seven oblasts without electricity, according to the Energy Ministry. More than 21,000 consumers in Kyiv Oblast remained without power, while fires broke out in Zhytomyr, Odesa, and Kirovohrad. Rescue operations were complicated by the threat of repeated attacks, leaving civilian infrastructure damaged across the regions.
