Nineteen of the detained journalists are subject to administrative detention, which accounts for roughly half of the total number of media professionals in custody. One prominent case involves writer Mahmoud Fatafta, who received a 48-month sentence, described by the group as one of the harshest penalties for such charges.

The organization also raised concerns about the physical conditions faced by detainees. Journalist Bushra al-Tawil was moved to an isolation cell in Ramla Prison, according to the report. The group accuses Israeli authorities of imposing stricter isolation measures on female prisoners, including reduced food rations and limited medical access. Detainees report facing starvation, medical neglect, and poor sanitation, conditions the group says are applied systematically to all Palestinian prisoners, regardless of their profession.

These detentions occur against a backdrop of intensified military activity in the West Bank. The Palestinian Prisoner Society states that over 100 Palestinians were detained in the region in the past week alone, bringing the total number of West Bank prisoners since October 2023 to more than 25,000.
