Mackay Reports 59.4 Meter Gold Intercept at Comstock

Mackay Gold and Silver Corp. reported a 59.4-meter intercept grading 1 gram per tonne gold and 9.45 grams per tonne silver. This result comes from the first seven holes of a 20,000-meter program in Nevada. The company confirmed thick zones of shallow mineralization near the surface.

CEO Darwin Green stated the results show a strong link between soil geochemistry and bedrock gold. The initial drilling expanded the known length of the Occidental South zone. The target area remains open in all directions for further exploration.

Initial Assays Show Strong Grades

Hole 26MGS007 returned 59.4 meters at 1 g/t gold. It included a higher-grade section of 18.3 meters at 1.46 g/t gold. Hole 26MGS005 intersected 47.2 meters at 1.15 g/t gold. This hole contained a 4.6-meter section grading 7.57 g/t gold.

Hole 26MGS001 returned 48.8 meters at 0.97 g/t gold. Hole 26MGS002 delivered 33.5 meters at 0.68 g/t gold. According to GN auto markets/commodities: gold prices, these figures indicate consistent mineralization across the drilled section.

Drilling Extends Mineralized Zone Length

The new holes were spaced 50 meters apart along strike. They cut 50 to 60 meters of strong mineralization each. This demonstrates continuity across roughly 100 meters of strike.

The Occidental South zone has grown to approximately 550 meters in length. Previous operators tested this area with 10 holes between 2018 and 2021. The current results extend the zone to the north of historical drilling.

Financing Supports Expanded Exploration Program

Mackay raised approximately US$60 million in April 2026. This capital funded the mobilization of a second drill rig. The company now operates both reverse-circulation and diamond core units.

The Phase 1 program targets the Occidental-Brunswick Lode. This structure runs parallel to the Comstock Lode for five kilometers. Most of this lode remains untested by modern exploration methods.
