Sprint speed defines the season
Litwiller placed 12th in the 50 free at Summer Juniors. His final time was 23.29. Preliminaries saw him swim slightly faster, clocking 23.21. He also reached the B final of the 100 free with a 51.09.
A week earlier, U.S. Nationals offered lifetime bests. He finished 41st in the 100 free with a 50.43. The 50 back saw him place 48th at 26.46. His 200 free time of 1:52.78 ranked 59th.
Cal roster gains new depth
Cal men won the 2026 ACC title. They finished 7th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Yamato Okadome led the team with breaststroke wins. Litwiller arrives next fall with Colin Jacobs, Thi Rai, and Davis Jackson.
His best short course times show promise. The 50 free stands at 20.04. The 100 free is 44.13. The 200 free is 1:36.46. These marks are close to ACC final standards.
