Cambria Gold Hits 166.2 G/t Au, Expands Drilling to 42,000 Metres

Cambria Gold Mines reports high-grade intercepts at Premier and plans to expand its 2026 infill program to 42,000 metres.
Key points
- Cambria Gold Mines reported a high-grade intercept of 166.2 g/t Au and 3,383 g/t Ag over 3.1 metres at the Premier Gold Project.
- The company expanded its 2026 infill drilling program to 42,000 metres, including new work at the Silver Coin deposit.
- Drilling hole P26-2705 intersected 18.26 g/t Au over 9.2 metres, extending the mineralization ten metres beyond historic workings.
Cambria Gold Mines Inc. has released new assay results from its Premier Gold Project in British Columbia, highlighting a standout intercept of 166.2 grams per tonne of gold and 3,383 grams per tonne of silver over 3.1 metres. The data comes from 6,923 metres of drilling across 70 surface and underground holes, confirming the continuity of high-grade mineralization in the area.
The company stated that these results support the historical significance of the site, where over 40 million ounces of silver were previously produced. Management indicated that the current focus is on defining the extent of gold-bearing sulfide zones, with specific attention to the northeastern extent of the Prew Zone where silver sulphosalts are prevalent.
High-grade intercepts define mineral continuity
The infill drilling program is designed with 12.5-metre spacing to improve mine planning accuracy. Recent holes, including P26U-0095, identified areas of high-grade silver and gold associated with native silver or electrum. This mineralization forms within primary quartz breccia domains, demonstrating the structural controls on the deposit's highest value intervals.
In the Premier-Northern Light Deposit, surface hole P26-2705 intersected 18.26 grams per tonne of gold over 9.2 metres. This intercept occurred ten metres beyond the end of historic workings, suggesting the mineralization continues past the previously mined boundaries. The company believes this zone is continuous with the 602 Zone drilled earlier in 2026.
Drilling program expands to 42,000 metres
Cambria has expanded its Premier Mine Complex infill program to a planned 42,000 metres for the remainder of 2026. This increased scope includes additional drilling at the Silver Coin deposit, where early visual indications show structurally controlled quartz breccia and sulfide mineralization often containing visible gold. Initial assay results from the Silver Coin area are scheduled for release in October 2026.
The company also plans to test exploration targets, including a potential new parallel zone to the Premier-Northern Light deposit discovered in 2025. Follow-up work on hole P25-2673, which intersected 16.20 grams per tonne of gold over 3.9 metres, will continue over the winter months. These activities aim to better define grade and continuity beyond the major deposit areas.
Operational focus shifts to mine planning
According to reporting by businessinsider.com, the current drilling density is intended to provide the necessary data for stope development and underground access prioritization in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company emphasized that limited drilling exists outside the major deposit areas, making the expansion of exploration targets a key component of the 2026 strategy.
The operational timeline extends through the end of 2026, with infill and exploration activities planned to continue into the winter. This sustained effort is designed to convert exploration potential into defined mineral resources, supporting the long-term development of the Premier Mine Complex.
