Accenture Edge and AWS released six ready-to-deploy solutions for mid-sized companies, targeting AI adoption and system modernization.
Key points
- Accenture Edge and AWS offer six ready-to-deploy solutions for companies with $300M to $3B in revenue.
- A recent project for 407 ETR achieved 99.9% platform reliability and kept abandonment rates under 5%.
- The partnership focuses on secure cloud migration and AI-driven customer service for mid-market firms.
Accenture and Amazon Web Services have formalized a partnership to deliver six specific technology solutions aimed at mid-market businesses. The new offerings, available through Accenture’s recently launched Edge division, are designed to help companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion modernize their core systems and implement AI without the complexity usually associated with large enterprise deals.
The collaboration focuses on translating cloud infrastructure into practical business outcomes. According to Voice of Alexandria, the strategy is to move beyond simple technology access and ensure that mid-sized organizations see tangible returns on investment. The packages include secure cloud migration, managed infrastructure, and AI-driven customer service tools, all built to be deployed quickly rather than requiring years of custom development.
Targeting the mid-market revenue gap
Mid-market firms often find themselves in a difficult position: they are too large for small-business tools but lack the resources of global giants. Accenture Edge is structured specifically to serve this segment, leveraging AWS’s underlying cloud and security services to create standardized products. Srini Subramanian, CEO of Accenture Edge, emphasized that these companies need solutions right-sized for their scale, allowing them to compete with larger rivals by adopting technology faster.
Real-world results in tolling operations
The partnership cites a specific success story involving 407 ETR, an electronic toll highway in the Toronto area. Working with NeuraFlash, a unit of Accenture, the company rebuilt its contact center on AWS infrastructure. This migration allowed them to unify more than 250 employees onto a single platform while maintaining high reliability. The result was a significant improvement in service efficiency, with call abandonment rates kept at 5% or less despite the transition.
Balancing speed with security
While the primary benefit is speed, the trade-off is a reliance on pre-built frameworks rather than fully bespoke engineering. AWS representatives noted that the value lies in the combination of model choice and cost flexibility, which helps organizations modernize with confidence. By using established cloud services, companies can secure their data while deploying AI tools, ensuring that the push for innovation does not compromise operational security.
