This hardware and software combination is intended to provide a safer and more convenient driving experience.

Beyond the high-tech driver assistance, the ID. AURA T6 focuses on practicality. It offers two battery options, providing a range of 540 or 660 kilometers on the CLTC cycle. The vehicle includes a 90-liter storage compartment in the front and a spacious rear cargo area that can be expanded to nearly 1,800 liters. These features are tailored for family use, emphasizing storage and comfort over pure performance metrics.

The interior includes a large central touchscreen and an augmented-reality head-up display, which projects navigation and speed information directly onto the windshield. While the technology is impressive, the catch is that the most advanced features are reserved for the more expensive trims. Buyers of the base models will miss out on the LiDAR and the most comprehensive autopilot capabilities, creating a clear hierarchy of features based on price.

The ID. AURA T6 is the first in a new lineup and part of Volkswagen's plan to launch 13 new models in China by 2026. FAW-Volkswagen aims to increase the share of new energy vehicles in its sales to 60% by 2030.
