ZTE has launched a new smart display at IBC 2026 that aims to move beyond simple voice commands by actively managing home safety and health routines.
ZTE Corporation has officially introduced its AI Smart Display on the global stage at IBC 2026. The device is designed to function as a central hub for the connected home, combining high-definition entertainment with comprehensive control over internet of things devices. Its primary goal is to shift the user experience from reactive command processing to proactive assistance, where the system anticipates needs based on context and daily routines.
According to reporting from GN technics/smarthome, the display integrates 4K video capabilities with a voice-first interface that supports multiple connectivity standards. This approach allows the device to manage a wide range of smart home components simultaneously. The company positions this product as a bridge between traditional living-room entertainment and a fully integrated, intelligent domestic ecosystem that serves all family members.
Unified control across multiple device brands
The hardware supports ZigBee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Matter protocols, enabling seamless communication with over 25 categories of smart devices. This multi-brand compatibility is intended to reduce the fragmentation often found in modern smart homes, where different gadgets require separate applications or hubs.
