The cofounders of Fitbit have introduced Luffu, a new startup focused on family health monitoring. Their first product, the Luffu Link, is a wristband designed to help caregivers keep track of aging relatives who may wander into unsafe areas or lose track of their location.
Unlike typical smartwatches, the device does not have a display. Instead, it relies on built-in LTE and GPS technology to function independently of a smartphone, sharing location data directly with trusted family members. Voice logging replaces screen interaction
Users interact with the band through a single physical button. Pressing it activates a microphone, allowing the wearer to record voice notes about medications, symptoms, meals, or mood.
