aiMotive has officially launched its Rig and Rooftop Box data recording systems, which integrate NovAtel precision hardware to standardize ground truth collection for autonomous vehicles. The lineup offers scalable options for HD mapping and dynamic actor annotation, with the Rooftop Box providing a complete pipeline for simulation-ready synthetic environments.

  • Details from GN technics/hardware (en-US) reveal that the aiMotive Rig and Rooftop Box leverage NovAtel PwrPak7D-E2 GNSS+INS technology for precise ego-motion estimation. The larger Rooftop Box includes a six-camera Sony array and dual LiDARs, and it is the only unit that ships with World Extractor-ready capabilities for immediate neural reconstruction.
