Fergus, a job management platform serving over 26,000 tradespeople in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, has launched an AI-first system designed to reduce administrative burdens. The company claims this update moves beyond simple record-keeping to actively assist with tasks ranging from initial customer enquiries to final payment collection.
The core objective is to eliminate the repetitive paperwork that often slows down small construction and repair businesses. By embedding artificial intelligence into the existing workflow, Fergus intends to help workers capture site details, generate quotes, and track costs more efficiently, potentially accelerating the time it takes to get paid for completed work.
Reducing administrative time in the field
Traditionally, digital trade software replaced paper forms with digital inputs, but the underlying effort of data entry remained high.
