A Chinese manufacturer named MPMC is introducing a series of mobile battery chargers designed to bypass the lengthy wait times associated with permanent grid connections. The system allows electric vehicles and heavy-duty trucks to charge quickly without relying on a fixed power infrastructure, addressing a critical bottleneck in fleet operations.

The core advantage of this technology is speed and location independence. Unlike traditional charging stations that require months of installation and grid upgrades, these mobile units can be operational within 24 hours of arrival. They store energy in onboard battery packs that can be replenished from various sources, including solar power or diesel generators, before discharging it directly to vehicles through DC fast-charging connectors.

Flexible Charging for Remote Logistics Sites

The BCH Series is already active in European logistics hubs, ports, and construction sites. In the United Kingdom, eight units are supporting truck fleets, while in Norway, a larger system powers electric machinery in areas with no grid access at all. This flexibility is crucial for operators who need charging capacity in temporary or remote locations where building permanent infrastructure is impractical or too slow.

The product line offers a range of power outputs, scaling from 80 kW for occasional needs up to 600 kW for heavy-duty depot operations. This allows fleet managers to match the unit size to their specific requirements, whether they are charging a single vehicle or managing a busy logistics hub. The modular approach ensures that operators can scale their charging capacity as their electric fleets grow.

Battery Safety and Thermal Management Standards

Safety is a primary concern with high-capacity mobile batteries, and MPMC addresses this through a specific blade LFP battery architecture. The cell structure is tested for fire resistance, water immersion, and high-impact collisions. Additionally, the system features a precision thermal control range of 6.7°C, which helps maintain battery performance and longevity under varying environmental conditions.

While these mobile units offer significant flexibility, there is a trade-off in energy density compared to fixed grid connections. Operators must still manage the charging of the mobile units themselves, which may require additional time or energy sources. However, for sites where grid access is delayed or unavailable, this self-contained approach provides a viable and immediate solution for electric vehicle deployment.

Upcoming Global Trade Show Appearances

MPMC plans to display its integrated power ecosystem, including these mobile chargers, at Data Centre World Asia 2026 in Singapore and the 140th Canton Fair in Guangzhou. These appearances mark the product's introduction to a wider international audience. The company aims to highlight how its energy storage platforms can support both data center resilience and the growing demand for mobile electric vehicle charging solutions.
