Apple Prepares Touch-Screen Macs and Smart Home Hub

Apple is preparing a significant expansion of its hardware lineup that extends well into early 2027. The most notable additions include MacBook Pro models with touch screens and a dedicated smart-home display. These devices are designed to integrate a revamped version of Siri, which promises improved contextual understanding and access to user data.

Touch Screens Arrive on MacBooks

The MacBook Pro line is set for its most significant redesign since the introduction of the M1 chips. The new models will feature touch-sensitive displays and OLED panels, both firsts for the Mac lineup. These high-end machines will be powered by the upcoming M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, marking a shift toward more interactive computing experiences.

Alongside the premium models, Apple is updating its entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip. This chip is already launching in the Mac mini this month. New Smart Home Hub Design

The iPad mini is also set for a major upgrade, receiving an OLED screen that matches the quality of higher-end devices.
