HONOR has confirmed that Malaysia will be among the first markets to receive the HONOR X9e Pro, with the official launch scheduled for September 24, 2026. During a recent media briefing, the company emphasized the phone's ruggedness, subjecting the device to various stress tests to demonstrate its resilience against physical impact and environmental hazards.

The manufacturer aims to capture a significant share of the mid-range segment, citing 37 consecutive months of market leadership in this category as of March 2026. The X9e Pro is positioned as a direct competitor to other Chinese brands, offering specifications that HONOR claims are currently class-leading in the region.

Rugged Design Inspired By Racing Safety

The phone’s durability relies on a new anti-drop technology derived from the safety structures used in Formula 1 racing. This design creates multiple load paths to absorb shock from impacts, allowing the device to withstand drops from three meters onto hard surfaces like cobblestone or granite. HONOR claims this structure reduces the risk of screen damage significantly during dynamic falls.

Demonstrations included hammering nails into wood and crushing metal cans to showcase the frame's strength.
