Ayla Launches Dealer Hub for Multi-Tier Device Networks

Ayla Networks introduces a new management layer for brands selling through dealers, enabling granular oversight of installed devices.
Key points
- Ayla Networks launched Dealer Hub to manage devices in two-tier distribution models, providing brands with oversight of dealer-installed equipment.
- The platform uses four distinct user roles to control access, ensuring that site managers and staff have appropriate levels of visibility and control.
- Dealer Hub targets sectors like HVAC and solar storage, offering API integrations for building and property management systems.
Ayla Networks has released Dealer Hub, a new platform designed to manage connected devices within dealer and installer networks. The tool extends cloud access to brands that sell products through two-tier distribution models, where third-party dealers handle installation and service rather than the manufacturer selling directly to end users.
As reported by IT Brief Asia, the service aims to close a gap in conventional dealer management software. Existing tools often lack native access to device data because they do not own the underlying IoT cloud. Dealer Hub provides brands with oversight of multiple dealers, allowing them to assign devices and monitor health and status across the entire network.
Role-based access controls the workflow
The platform organizes access through four distinct user roles to ensure security and operational clarity. Dealer Administrators have full read and write access across locations and staff, while Dealer Staff members are limited to read-only views of data, alerts, and video streams.
At the site level, Site Managers can manage users and devices for their specific location, whereas Site Supervisors have read-only access to that same site-specific data. This structure allows portfolio managers to maintain a broad view of device fleets while local staff retain control over their own equipment.
Targeting high-maintenance industrial sectors
Ayla is targeting manufacturers in sectors that require professional installation or ongoing support, such as HVAC, water purification, home security, and solar storage systems. The tool is also positioned for multi-site properties like hotels, retail stores, and self-storage facilities where businesses oversee many locations simultaneously.
The system is intended to help service teams identify problems before customers report them. Depending on their role, users can monitor device health, review alerts, read error codes, and adjust settings. Service teams can also receive notifications via text, push alert, or email to facilitate remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
APIs enable third-party system integration
Dealer Hub is built for cloud-to-cloud integration, exposing application programming interfaces that allow dealers to connect the tool to customer relationship management and building management systems. Ayla also offers integration services for brands wanting to pull device data into their own software environments, enabling management from a single interface.
Ajit Pradhan, Director of Product at Ayla Networks, stated that the platform gives manufacturers and field operators more direct access to device information. He noted that Dealer Hub informs brands on dealer performance while giving dealers a robust tool for efficient service. The service is available now, having already activated more than a certain number of initial users.
