Agility Robotics has introduced the Digit 5 humanoid, which leverages NVIDIA hardware for enhanced human-safe collaboration and offers a 40% increase in lifting capacity. Despite these technical advancements and over $300 million in multi-year orders, the company faces going concern doubts ahead of its public market debut.
According to GN auto tech/robotics: humanoid robot, the Digit 5 integrates NVIDIA IGX Thor hardware and utilizes the Halos for Robotics safety framework to enable autonomous behavioral adjustments, such as stopping or seating, when humans approach. The robot also features a swappable gripper system and a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, designed to expand its utility beyond tote handling to tasks like depalletising and machine tending.
